We are in search of a person to join our NIGHT AUDITOR TEAM. This person must have a passion for hospitality. The hotel is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year so a person must have a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

Job Overview

Audit, balance, and report on the various areas of the hotel (e.g. food and beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, gift shop, etc.) to provide accurate, timely information and to ensure company and Hotel policies and procedures are followed and to prevent fraud.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlets (e.g. restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures/tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
  • Audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc., to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Audit, balance, and prepare, verify and report on Room information to Provide room management with a picture of how they are performing.
  • Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for the preparation of daily reports.
  • Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily.
  • Run night audit final after insuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
  • Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk including express checkouts.
  • Assist PBX in taking and placing wake-up calls, as needed.
  • Perform the duties of a bell person as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Processes all guest mail, messages, and faxes by receiving, sorting, notifying and distributing to mailboxes and to guests in order to ensure the information is received by the guests in the most timely and accurate method possible.
  • Contributes and maintains established information and communications sources such as department and front desk log books in order to enhance department communications and operations.
  • Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel.
  • Must be able to work overnights.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Must be able to stand for an 9 hour period.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs periodically during a shift
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
