Job Purpose:
- The Night Auditor works within guidelines as set forth by corporate policy in fulfilling the duties of the position. Ensures high guest service scores, trip advisor ranking, and guest recovery. Maintains liaison with Facilities Manager, Maintenance, Sales Coordinator, and Guest Service Manager to achieve the companys objectives.
- This position requires assisting guests efficiently and courteously in all Front Desk and/or other assigned department-related functions while projecting high standards of service and professionalism at all times. Audits all accounts to ensure they are balanced and closes out various accounts/transfers when necessary.
- Prepares the daily Night Audit Reports, effectively, properly, and accurately analyze the days operating results, and perform daily assigned duties outlined in the BFH SOPs.
- Nurture a hotel environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and a passion for providing service. Be readily available and approachable to all guests and team members.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains compliance with company policies, practices, procedures, and safety standards.
- Closes out all house accounts at month-end
- Ensures that no guests are exceeding the house limit. If so, he/she is to inform the Facilities Manager immediately.
- Required to be flexible on working all shifts when needed unless stated otherwise in writing signed by the Director of Operations prior to hire.
- Works closely with Guest Service Manager, Sales Department, and Facilities Manager to inform them of occupancy forecasts and any changes.
- Handles petty cash and paid put transactions.
- Deals efficiently with guest complaints or special requests regarding rooms or other functional areas of the property within guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Confers and cooperates with other property personnel to resolve operating problems and ensures coordination of property activities.
- Reports to the Guest Service Manager, Facilities Manager, and Director of Operations, significant results, problems, and personnel actions regarding assigned personnel or guest concerns.
- Sends a daily end-of-the-day activity and accomplishment email to the front desk, Guest service Manager, and Director of Operations.
- Executes other associated responsibilities as directed by the Facilities Manager and Director of Operations.
- If applicable, inspect all conference rooms and common areas each day to ensure setup, cleanliness, & security standards are met.
- Reports in a proper uniform which is cleaned and pressed.
- Maintains a well-organized and efficient front desk area.
- Promotes and monitors all Social Media for the hotel, leading by example increasing social media reviews and scores.
- Washes, dries, and fold laundry during shift according to the Laundry Attendant Guidelines including stocking housekeeping closets with linen
- Verifying all storage, guest rooms, and exterior doors are locked
