Night Auditor (Part Time)
Job description
BASIC PURPOSE: To process all end-of-day financial reports for the property, as well as performing all basic guest service/front desk functions as needed and requested.
FUNCTIONS/REPSONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all end-of-day processing of hotel financial records
- As directed by supervisor, may be required to perform numerous computer-related tasks such as:
- Perform all guest service/front desk functions as required to accommodate guest arrival, stay, and departure
- Deliver guest invoices
- Assist in other departments when the need arises, as directed by supervisor. This may include, but is not limited to: o Assisting with breakfast set up or clean-up o Assisting with basic property cleanliness such as trash removal, snow and ice removal, lobby cleanliness and public restroom cleanliness o Assisting with laundry and housekeeping functions
- When needed, assist other departments and employees with any tasks requested by a supervisor or manager
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Education: High School education or equivalent experience.
Experience: Previous experience in the hotel industry as Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor preferred but not necessarily required. Much experience is gained from on-the-job training

- Requires a working knowledge of the Front Desk aspect of Sun's services, policies or operations and a general knowledge of the hotel.
- Requires knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system.
- When needed, assist other departments and employees with any tasks requested by a supervisor or manager
Hours Required:
- 8-hour shift typical; Scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Weekends and Holidays may be required.
- This position is a typically overnight position, but employee may be asked to cover other shifts when needed
- Must adhere to the time and attendance policies set forth by the company
ENVIRONMENT Physical Job Requirements
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying
Position may require:
- Lifting of front office, kitchen and other basic hotel supplies
- Assisting with guest luggage
Position requires frequent bending and kneeling to access guest supplies, drawers and cabinets, office supplies, and other essential property supplies
Position requires ability to assist guests, walk guests and clients to rooms and meeting locations, deliver supplies or requests to housekeeping and other property departments, distribute invoices to guest rooms, and be able to assist with other essential property needs
This position may require a normal amount of standing in the performance of tasks required/requested of the employee
This position may require climbing of property stairs
Hearing/Vision/Speech
- This position requires that the employee be able to clearly communicate with, understand, and respond to supervisors, coworkers and guests.
- Position requires the ability to visually review reports, enter information into a computer system, and monitor all aspects of hotel operations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
