Job Summary
Cross-functional operations supervisor that will assist with off-shift warehouse duties as well as help production to ensure goals and KPIs are met with efficiency. This position will also assist with training and development of all positions and staff, while promoting the company’s warm family culture. Directly supervises 8-15 employees in the warehouse (including across the street), indirectly supervises production and maintenance employees, Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, developing and driving the safety and job training and development of all hourly positions.

Shift: Night Shift 6pm-6am
Pay: $55,000- $65,000
Job Details
- Reviews truck schedules and production orders to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Direct and coordinate warehouse employees
- Ensure all employees follow the standard operational and working practices required
- Backup to production supervisor
- Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed.
- Ensure all Food Safety & Quality procedures are followed; along with enforce our SQF policies to ensure compliance and proactive solutions.
- Coaches all employees on safety and ensure safety policies are followed.
- Facilitate continued onboarding of new hires, which includes culture immersion, safety/compliance training, and on the job training
- Facilitate and track training records for hourly associates
- Has Immediate coaching responsibility for seeing that products are warehoused in the most cost-effective and safe manner possible. This activity is accomplished through the hourly associates.
- Ensure all loads are received properly and timely
- React to changing situations including schedule changes, supplies shortage, and other plants' need.
- Guide and supervise maintenance department to help keep equipment in best mechanical operating condition.
- Carry out accident/injury investigations when necessary
- Review all accident and incident investigations with the objective of taking action to eliminate future occurrences.
- Ensures that safety activities by production associates are accomplished as outlined in the plant's safety program. (LOTO, equipment inspections, etc.)
- Ensure hourly associates are properly trained regarding job responsibilities.
- Collaborate and develop positive relations with other departments to achieve goals in safety, quality, service and profitability.
- Counsels hourly associates and administers disciplinary action as necessary.
- Investigates all grievances/complaints and notify management.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees and management.
- Required the ability to speak fluent in Spanish and English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience with GMP's, HAACP, sanitation, process improvement, plant safety programs, GFSI and quality assurance. Also must have proven ability to lead, make decisions, facilitate change, and manage conflict. Ability to align performance for success and demonstrate strong people skills.
