The American Paper & Twine Team is looking for an experienced Night Warehouse Supervisor to join our corporate office located in Nashville, TN.

We are looking for a strong leader who will be responsible for managing the overall night time operation and Order Processors. This role will also oversee the night transferred merchandise is properly stocked and assigned locations while reviewing and overseeing the accuracy and completion of retrieved merchandise.

Schedule:

The position is Sunday-Thursday 9PM until 530AM.

Position Overview:

  • Supervise order processors and maintain a safe and functional department.
  • Responsible for coordinating employees’ time off; maintains balanced work schedule to minimize department overtime.
  • Assumes responsibility that all merchandise is retrieved according to the pick list to fulfill orders.
  • Manage items for immediate counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory.
  • Process ship confirmations.
  • Inspect and report merchandise for damages.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and backordered items.
  • Oversee over, short, damaged, and unknown report (OSDU) for management to review pulling/shipping errors.
  • Set process improvement goals for warehouse employees to improve accuracy and efficiency in an effort to reduce picking and checking errors.
  • Print special requested packing list for customers to use as a replacement packing list.
  • Print bar codes labels for various customers’ special requests. · Manage and release orders via voice picking console.
  • Run Open Order report after all ship confirmations are completed; run Next Day Pick List for various customers and same day deliveries; run Held Order report for Driver Supervisor to remove orders from Mobile Cast.
  • Build a team atmosphere and ensure that employees get along well.
  • Counsel and coach employees as needed, including documentation of performance or behavior issues in a timely manner.
  • Train, direct, and motivate employees to assure a stable and competent department.
  • Coordinates with Executive Management, sales representatives, warehouse manager, Inventory Control Supervisor, purchasing and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Follow and ensure warehouse safety and housekeeping procedures are followed through by staff.
  • Placards trailers when needed.
  • Maintain valid OSHA, EPA, and DOT certifications if required.
  • Oversee inspections of material handling equipment are being reported for any mechanical issues.

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • 3+ years previous management experience (distribution environment preferred).
  • Ability to stand and be in motion at all times. Flexible enough to walk, twist, bend, stoop, pull, grip and lift merchandise.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate and to get results through others.
  • Ability to learn American Paper & Twine products and services. · Ability to operate ERP system and Descartes software.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate and complete tow motor, order-picker and pallet jack certification.
  • Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs.
  • Ability to pull 2200 lbs using a pallet jack and pull or push 200 lbs using a two-wheeler.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
