Job Description
The corporate Nursing Quality Outcomes Manager is a qualified APRN leader, with demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care. The position strengthens and supports care of patients through coordination, leadership and development of processes related to the Stroke and Sepsis programs and prevention of Hospital Acquired Conditions (HACs). The coordinator acts as a liaison in promoting strategies and interventions to align with evidence-based practices (EBP), reduce risk to patients and remove barriers to change. The nursing quality outcomes coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting outcomes associated with Stroke and Sepsis program. This role with continually maintain presence as a resource in clinical areas communicating HAC/Stroke/Sepsis knowledge to the system and community it serves. The Nursing Quality Outcomes Manager is responsible for indirect and direct patient care and provides nursing education and patient education.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Masters of Science in Nursing
  • Licensed as a registered professional nurse in Missouri
  • Graduation and certification for Nurse Practitioner program and/or certification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice
  • Stroke Certified RN (SCRN) through the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing certificate within 24 months of hire
  • Current BCLS
  • 3-5 years nursing experience
  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PPT
  • Demonstrates leadership ability
  • Effective collaboration problem-solving, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently/collaborate with colleagues and shift priorities with flexibility.
  • Required to comply with all mandatory conditions of employment to include but not limited to; continuing education, participation in organizational initiatives, annual skills, compliance, safety, and annual health assessments and competency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in nursing. Quality improvement or research experience. Recent nursing experience in ICU, Cardiac, and/or Emergency
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission Stroke Certification requirements, Sepsis Care requirements, and AHA “Get With the Guidelines” program
  • ACLS and ASLS preferred
