Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH) is currently accepting applications for two dedicated employees to work in our Nutrition Services Department. Here at BRMH, we like food, and we appreciate our hard-working staff that makes it all happen. Positions available are:

· (1)Full-time, 72 hours per pay period, benefited.

· (1)Part-time, 64 hours per pay period, benefited.

Nutrition Services Assistants work any one of seven days including rotating weekends and holidays. Shifts include a variety of hours: 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., and 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. – providing you a variety while still getting time off to enjoy the evening! We know the importance of work-life balance so enjoy having every other weekend off. A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred and basic reading and comprehension skills.

Essential Duties:

· Assists in preparing and portioning food for patients’ meals, contracted food services, employees, and hospital special functions following established policies and procedures.

· Accurately and appropriately transports scheduled patient meal carts to the patient floor and delivers patient’s room service trays or late trays directly to the patient’s room. Collects soiled trays from patient rooms and document the amount of food consumed by the patient.

· Performs various cleaning duties per department protocol. Keeps work area clean and in a sanitary condition at all times.

· Follows safe food handling practices.

· Other duties include cashiering, café attendant, food preparation to established recipes, and other duties as assigned based upon the department’s needs.
