Position Title:

Nutrition Team Leader I

Work Location:

Sand Lake Elementary

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma (or equivalent)

· One-year successful experience in a Food Service setting

· SERV Safe Certification within 60 days of employment (renew every five years).

· Certification in CPR and Basic First Aid (within six months of employment).

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience managing a kitchen

· Previous experience in a School Nutrition Setting

Performance Responsibilities:

· Provide the leadership and management skills necessary to result in the delivery of food service that exemplifies excellence in the categories of: Nutrition, customer special needs, sanitation, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

· Coordination and oversight of all kitchen duties. Delegate responsibilities as appropriate.

· Maintain positive communication and relationships with staff.

· Maintain record keeping and inventory of all food items; accountability for ordering; proper rotation of food.

· Responsible for ensuring proper food temperatures before, during and after service times in accordance with State regulations.

· Managing our program contracts with the La Crosse County Senior Dining, St. Paul’s Lutheran School, and the YMCA North Daycare.

· Ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen.

· Assist in planning suitable menus for schools.

Terms of Employment:

This is a year-round (260* days/8 hours a day) position. Benefits per the Employee Handbook.

*260 days dependent upon receipt of contracted meals. When external contract for outside meals ends, position will change to school year.
