Job Summary and Qualifications: OB Tech Full-Time Nights 7p-7a 12 hour shifts

As the OB Tech in Women’s Services you will deliver high quality, patient centered care in a variety of services related to common nursing functions. Our team is amazing and we consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

• You will assist the surgeon during C-sections and ensure the surgical suite is adequately prepared for C-sections.
• You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment making sure labor and delivery and or Mother/Baby rooms are adequately stocked and prepared.
• You will clean, wrap, and sends all instruments to Central Sterile for sterilization.
• You will obtain or assist the nursing staff as needed.
• You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
• You will participate in department process improvement activities.

What qualifications you will need:

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
• Certified Nursing Assistant license preferred.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course preferred.
• Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred.
• One year of CNA experience preferred.

• One year operating room experience preferred.
