DEFINITION OF POSITIONThe patient safety observer is a member of the healthcare team. The observer is responsible for monitoring one or more assigned patients on a designated unit for a specific time period. The role of the observer is to monitor the patient for safety. Assist with room turnover, emptying of trash, linen changes, PPE restocking. Assist with patient transport. Support the department staff as a resource runner and delivering needed items between departments.

High school education or equivalent preferred.

Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification preferred
