OUTPATIENT UNIT COORDINATOR:
This position, under direct supervision, is responsible for providing clerical support to the unit including registration, reception of patients, and gathering of data for service and billing. This position performs various support functions including answering the telephone, accessing, filing, and scanning information into the Electronic medical record. This position also assists with the coordination of daily activities which may include faxing, ordering of supplies, among others. This position provides assistance to nursing staff by performing selected activities (ie, weights, vital signs, assist with ambulation) under the direct supervision of the RN. May perform non-direct patient care activities as assigned, such as stocking and organization of the unit.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Degree or GED BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
EXPERIENCE: Up to 1 year in a related field
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Typing 30 wpm, Computer literate.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC: Bilingual - spanish speaking desired
