Company Description(s):We are a multi-disciplinary Early Intervention/Early Start (Birth-3) therapy agency that provides therapy services (Speech, OT, PT, Vision, Child Development) to our young clientele in a natural environment/home-based therapy model. Both Spanish and English clientele are provided services in both a consultative and direct therapy model on a weekly and bi-monthly basis and as authorized by our local Tri-Counties Regional Center.

Job Description:

• Provide evaluations, reports, goals, direct therapy and consultation services to both Early Start children and their families
• Implement and collaborate with trans-disciplinary team services to children with a variety of developmental and diagnostic indicators (Autism, Down Syndrome, etc)
• Attend and report at multi-disciplinary team meetings on a bi-annual and annual basis as requested and indicated by the Early Start program
• Provide consultation services to parents/caregivers, teachers, and to community specialists and professionals regarding client progress and recommendations

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Must possess current California license
• A desire or experience with working with children and families
• Ability to drive to all home-based therapy appointments & provide proof of a valid California driver's license and auto insurance
• Spanish skills preferred but not required; however, at least a willingness to learn some basic Spanish communication (a translator will be provided as needed) is desired
• Strong report writing skills, communication, teamwork, organizational skills and good time management skills required
• Demonstrate solid professional communication and the ability to work with a variety of therapists, specialists, families and community professionals (Regional Center, social workers, psychologists, physicians)
• Must possess proof of liability insurance
