Responsibilities

This position uses occupational therapy expertise in the area of functional performance to assess a patient's level of independence, establish attainable goals, and develop/implement a patient-specific treatment plan so that patients are able to achieve their highest level of functioning for activities of daily living.

Qualifications

We require: -
  • Entry Level I - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy w ith 6 month clinical internship. -
  • Entry Level I - Washington state license as an Occupational Therapist. - Entry Level I - CPR certification
  • Staff Level II - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Staff Level II - Minimum 1 year work experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Staff Level II - FTE status .5 FTE or greater
  • Staff Level II - Clinical Specialist or Senior Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Therapist
  • Staff Level II - Department criteria as determined by the management team
  • Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, wound healing, and disease progression; an understanding of the base components, both physical and cognitive, of ADLs (assisted daily living) and levels of ADL independence.
  • The ability to customize, adapt, and graduate to a home or work site environment or to adapt to a given treatment plan and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
