Classification Title: Administrative Support Coordinator I
Classification Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position is $3,505 - $5,508 per month.
The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
About the Department/Position
The mission of the Occupational Therapy Department is to educate and prepare students on best practice, scholarship, research, advocacy and innovation to address the complex human needs of health, wellness, restoration and adaptation for optimal life engagement throughout the lifespan. We prioritize building collaborative communities, diversifying the profession and facilitating a culture of service to all populations.
The department is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join the team! Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for the College of Health, Human Services and Nursing and in collaboration with the Occupational Therapy Department Chair, the incumbent will provide coordination and administrative support to the department.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations and special projects for the department chair, faculty, staff, and students of the Occupational Therapy Department.
- Process departmental paperwork.
- Assist with coordination and logistics for special events sponsored and hosted by the department.
- Provide support to the department chair and admissions committee.
- Provide lead work, train, and coordinate work activities of student assistants and an administrative support assistant, as needed.
- Serve as the main contact between students and faculty by responding to general inquiries or referring students to various on-campus resources.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience, equivalent to three years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages.
- Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.

Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports.

Ability to handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
