Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable Ocean Import/Export Specialist for daily operation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily ocean import/export operations.
• Communicating with customers and vendors to coordinate products.
• Send documents to customer or broker for customs compliance
• Manage and process A/R and A/P through in-house system.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers (steamship lines, trucking companies, and others)
• Pro-actively provide pricing alternatives, routing solutions and technical assistance to clients through internal sales both regional and global.
• Respond to requests for proposal, quotation or information timely and with market competitive pricing matching the scope of service required by the customer.
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
• Receive, review and process Ocean Export documentation
• Track and trace shipments to provide updates to the client
• Responsible for AES transmission and compliance regulations
• Verifies shipment weight and volumes
• Calculates rates with the ability to convert pricing and rates
• Registration of shipments
• Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation
• Supports local sales efforts with timely responses to emails and rate requests
• Handles the full process from A-Z
• Handling and resolving Ocean Import/Export troubleshooting
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous freight forwarding experience prefered
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be proficient in English and Mandarin

Requirements:

• 1+ Years in Freight Forwarding or logistics, intentional trading industry
• Ability to communicate and provide great customer service
• Being able to work independently and part of a team
• Knowledge of local and international carriers and routes
• Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines
• Great organizational skills
• Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset
• Ability to navigate and work efficiently using IT software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,500.00 per month
