FLSA Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Communications
Summary: Office Coordinator accomplishes tasks assigned by Communications Department leader and agency directors, primarily providing support to the communications team including Today’s Catholic newspaper & Catholic Television of San Antonio.
Requirements:Position Responsibilities:
- Complete tasks as assigned by leader and agency directors in the Communications Department.
- Greet visitors, field phone calls, processes requests and communicate with customers and staff via phone, e-mail, or personally to resolve customer or staff questions.
- Coordinate internal distribution of Today’s Catholic and archdiocesan Directory to include but not limited to Directory sales for Today’s Catholic newspaper.
- Perform data entry for items such as donations, check requests, deposits, and others as needed.
- Order supplies and maintain office inventory.
- Maintain and handle updates for Today’s Catholic mailing list with the United States Postal Service and Community Impact Printing in Austin.
- Ensure all account reconciliations are completed within specific timeframes.
- Serve on occasion as additional proofreader for Today’s Catholic newspaper.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Business or business-related field is preferable.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Communications or business-related field.
License and Credentials:
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Learn and follow Communications Department, advertising accounting and archdiocesan procedures and software.
- Experience with computer software and Microsoft products
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
