Ledgent Finance & Accounting has an amazing Oil & Gas Property Accountant opportunity with a leading exploration and production company located here in Houston, TX! If you are looking for the next step in your accounting career look no further! This exciting Direct Hire opportunity is based in Downtown Houston, TX and offers a 9/80 schedule with 1-2 days remote. This is a very exciting time to join the team and grow with the company!
As an Oil & Gas Property Accountant, you will be a key member of the operational accounting team working with different departments to ensure timely and accurate accounting of operations results and reporting.

As an Oil & Gas Property Accountant, you will be a key member of the operational accounting team working with different departments to ensure timely and accurate accounting of operations results and reporting.

- Maintain and improve ongoing operational activities
- Ensure compliance with Joint Operating Agreements and COPAS guidelines
- Assist with Capital and LOE accruals
- Budget Analysis
- Prepare PP&E roll forwards
- Monthly reconciliation's and more!
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years of Operational or Big 4 experience
- OGsys, DocVue and EnergyLink experience is preferred
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with bank reconciliations
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to meet critical business deadlines
