GDIT Learning & Development Onboarding Team is seeking a skilled associate to coordinate our onboarding programs across the enterprise, including weekly orientation sessions and program and onboarding events, geared towards engaging and developing our new hires. Our team offers the opportunity to use your talent to help coordinate programs that drive measurable value and results to retain 7,000+ new hires a year.

This role offers hybrid working arrangement and will report to the Onboarding Coordinator Supervisor.

This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of administration for onboarding events, while partnering with other internal teams to coordinate logistics, materials, and communications to new hires and hiring managers.

A Day In The Life.....

  • Independently manage all planning and logistical aspects of onboarding program delivery inclusive of:
    • Onboarding communication and marketing using the appropriate internal communication and media outlets
    • Invitations to orientation and onboarding events
    • Scheduling Zoom meetings
  • Coordinate and plan for all onsite onboarding (when applicable) or virtual meeting events.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about orientation registration and onboarding tasks.
  • Send onboarding communications to new hires prior to first day.
  • Collaborate with LMS Team to manage attendance of participants.
  • Monitor and review all returned new hire employment documents for accuracy, within established regulatory deadlines
  • Completion of I9 within three days of employment start date
  • Take appropriate actions if deadlines not met
  • Support Onboarding Program Advisors with logistics, planning, and material distribution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Distribute onboarding materials to new employees, hiring managers, and HRBPs as needed.
  • Report metrics (attendance vs. registration), weekly, monthly, annual new hire numbers.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree plus 2+ years of related experience in professional development and training
  • In lieu of degree, 4+ years of related experience is required
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
