Job description
We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst for a 3-month contract that will convert to a permanent opportunity with a leader in hospitality based in Fort Lauderdale area (Miramar, FL). The Data Governance Analyst position is a part of the Data Analytics & AI team. This position's responsibilities include ensuring corporate compliance with data privacy rules and regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, documenting business requirements and data flows, analyzing data, metrics, and reporting, and participating in data related research and investigations. This position supports the enterprise, with a special focus on Data Privacy, Legal, IT and Data Analytics & AI team interactions.

Responsibilities for the Data Governance Analyst

Business analysis and business process modeling.
Creation of requirements specification documents for data governance initiatives.
Experience drafting process flow diagrams from business requirements.
Execute data subject requests and guest research escalation requests.
Create SQL queries and reports to support guest data inquiries.
Develop solutions and manages processes to support privacy escalations.
Design and develop dashboards to display KPIs related to guest data inquiries and privacy escalations.
Locate, define, and execute new process improvement opportunities.
Schedule and hold meetings with business stakeholders related to assignments.
Position requires to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their manager.

MUST HAVE SKILLS for the Data Governance Analyst

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or similar field.
3+ years data analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software or equivalent related education.
Mid-level coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python and/or R.
Mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of data gathering, cleansing, and transforming techniques.
Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Power BI.
Familiarity with data content and information management.
Working knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
