Summary:
This person will support financial analysts within the Bureau of Nursing Homes & Long Term Care Reimbursement within OHIP’s Division of Finance and Rate Setting (DFRS) in the management of rate setting functions for Medicaid fee-for-service nursing home, home care, and foster care rates. They will perform high-level analysis in their review of the preparation of rate packages for annual and supplemental rates for these programs and will participate in the collection of cost report data.

Additional duties include:

• Providing technical support for the Bureau’s day-to-day activities including participating in problem solving and operational change activities.
• Validating and analyzing datasets related to cost reports and rate setting.
• Providing guidance, management, and Excel workbook enhancements to staff utilizing the Bureau’s datasets.

Basic Qualifications:

• 9 years of experience in healthcare
• An Associate degree can count as 2 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree can count as 4 years of experience, and a Master's degree can count as 5 years of experience

Desired Characteristics:

• Must be proficient in MS Excel
• Supervision, Subject Matter, Project Management
• Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 37.5 hours per week.
