Are you an Operations Manager or a Plant Manager with a very hands-on management style? Are you an Operations Manager or Plant Manager who has solid machining experience in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment? If you can answer "yes" to these questions, you should consider this opportunity.
We are a non-automotive manufacturer with two distinct product lines and whose business has remained consistently strong. As Operations Manager, reporting to the CEO and an integral part of the leadership team, you will have 5 direct reports and 45 indirect reports in primarily a first shift operation, with skeleton crews on second and third shift. You will manage a CNC machining and assembly operation.
As Operations Manager you will:
- Provide leadership and supervision of personnel to establish and maintain a well-motivated team including training, supporting, developing each team member to maximize output and results while enforcing guidelines and policies.
- Maintain safe work environment improving upon the internal and complying with OSHA safety standards and IDEM regulations.
- Coordinate with the CEO and CFO on the development of Annual Operating Plans.
- Develop and implement standardization and organization actions with appropriate control systems to advance internal efficiencies.
- Lead the charge to drive down production rework and scrap while consistently delivering quality parts.
- Lead production scheduling of all manufacturing operations necessary to achieve OTD targets.
- Actively lead advancement in metrics, processes, documentation, and strict adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
As Operations Manager your background should include:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing with strong experience in a CNC machining environment
- Proven management experience as a hands on, on the floor leader
- Solid experience in a high mix/low volume manufacturing environment
- Critical thinking with data driven analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication skills

Pay: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
