Operations Manager

Dispeker Artists, a full service classical music artist management agency based in downtown Manhattan, seeks an Operations Manager to function as a key member of our team. With a focus on classical music, Dispeker Artists manages both established artists and up-and-coming performers. The Operations Manager will work closely with management staff and offer administrative and operational support to senior managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain good relationships with artists, providing them with detailed itineraries for each engagement and coordinating travel, accommodation, rehearsal, and press interviews related logistics with presenting organizations.
• Liaising with concert presenters to confirm concert details, arranging all artistic support including scheduling rehearsal times, media interviews, outreach activities, arranging merchandise sales, etc.
• Recording all financial information for each engagement accurately, and processing invoices and other financial documents. Corresponding with artists and accountant regarding tax documents and statement questions.
• Issuing and processing artists engagement contracts; maintaining database and artists record accuracy.
• Preparing visa applications and tax waivers for artists and submitting in a timely manner.
• Providing general office administrative support.

The ideal candidates should be self-motivated and interested in arts management as a career. We are looking for bright, organized, extremely detail-oriented individuals with excellent written and oral communication skills, who possess a positive attitude and the ability to take direction and follow through on multiple projects at once, maintain discretion with confidential information, and serve as a strong representative of the company in person and on the phone. Computer literacy and proficiency are a must. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have proficient knowledge of classical music repertoire (orchestral, operatic and chamber music).

Dispeker Artists has been a leading classical music artist management firm since 1947. The firm was founded by the late Thea Dispeker who represented some of the most notable names in classical music, including Richard Tucker, Martina Arroyo, Judith Blegen, Roberta Peters, Jan Peerce, Hermann Prey, Pablo Casals and Wieland Wagner among many others. In 1950, she organized the first Pablo Casals Festival in the tiny village Prades, France, where Casals was living in exile from Spain.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
