Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is hiring for an Organizational Design expert! We are looking for someone with a passion for designing organizations in alignment with business strategy. We’re seeking a seasoned professional with organization design and change management skills to round out our team’s toolbox. Initially, the successful candidate will provide consulting to Aeronautics’ senior leaders on organization assessment and design, organization effectiveness and change enablement. However, there will be opportunities to apply other skillsets in various areas over time.

We’re seeking a seasoned professional with organization design and change management skills to round out our team’s toolbox. Initially, the successful candidate will provide consulting to Aeronautics’ senior leaders on organization assessment and design, organization effectiveness and change enablement. However, there will be opportunities to apply other skillsets in various areas over time.
This position will function as an integrated part of the Talent and Organizational Capability’s (T&OC) Org Effectiveness team and will:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Organization Design methods and practices.
- Consult with senior leaders and other internal partners to diagnose, design and execute interventions to improve organization performance that advance Aeronautics’ strategy.
- Develop recommendations for improvement through a variety of approaches by analyzing strategies, laterals, work capabilities, and the utilization of resources.
- Provide key stakeholders with independent advice and consultation on organizational effectiveness.
- Design and facilitate completion of organizational design deliverables including elements aligned to business strategy, change impact analyses, and resulting change management plans that sustain the strategies.
- Facilitate intake sessions, make recommendations on scope, approach, timelines, and service level in order to design and lead organizational effectiveness efforts.
- Design and track metrics to determine the effectiveness of OD and CM initiatives.
- Build change management and organizational design capability within the HR team and throughout the business.
- Influence the organization’s culture and enhances the capacity for future change and design in the organization.
- Lead and/or participates in other initiatives as needed.
- Drive lateral connectivity and collaboration within HR and across the enterprise.
- Demonstrated experience in large scale organizational design efforts using best practice Org Design methodologies such as Galbraith’s Star Model and Prosci’s Change Management.
- Proven ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including Human Resources, Executives, Leadership, and Employees.
- Project Management experience leading large scale projects / initiatives.
- Experience leading projects and efforts as primary POC, bringing along team members and partners in the process.
- Experience recommending customized or a variety of solutions/approaches tailored to the client’s needs, timing, scope or team bandwidth.
- Experience synthesizing data outputs from diagnostic results and recommending approaches, outlining project team R&Rs, identifying deliverables and managing project timelines.
- Experience in developing change management plans to support the implementation and sustainability of organization-wide programs and strategies.
- Experience crafting communications and presentations in support of key deliverables.
- Ability to demonstrate systems thinking
- Exceptional interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent consultation and collaboration skills
- Business acumen, analytical skills, reliability and sound judgement
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, ability to effectively manage high-volume workload and competing priorities.
