Company is seeking a pharmacist with outpatient experience. This is a contract position and we offer competitive pay!

Position Details:

• 6 month contract with possible 6 month extension
• Work location: Indian Health Services in Santa Fe, NM
• Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
• No weekends

Responsibilities

• Outpatient - Under the supervision of the pharmacist in charge of the outpatient pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety
• Each staff pharmacist is responsible for the preparation and dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies for patients of the outpatient pharmacy
• Professional specialist providing drug information services to other health care disciplines and patients
• Recommends approved therapeutic and/or generic substitutions when possible
• Responsible for inventory, dispensing, and security of controlled drugs
• Provides supervision of Pharmacy technicians, interns and students
• Provides vaccinations, as permitted by law, when certified to administer immunizations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education: (1) Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. degree.
• 2 years of experience (outpatient or retail)
• Subject to background/security investigation

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $56.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Santa Fe, NM 87505: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
