The DSP (caregiver) is responsible for providing direct support, hands-on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals.

No Experience? If you meet the basic job requirements, we will provide the necessary paid training and hands-on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while ensuring our individuals are safe and healthy.
• Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Assisting individuals with dressing, grooming, hygiene, eating and other daily living functions.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.
• Other duties as assigned.
