Job description

Jianna is seeking energetic, reliable, and professional Oyster Shuckers. The work is very fast paced and requires a high level of precision, speed, and focus. A polished, clean-shaven appearance is required.


The ideal candidate has experience as a line cook or garde manger or experience as an Oyster Shucker. Recent culinary graduates are encouraged to apply; we will train passionate and eager candidates.


This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of oysters.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times
  • Display basic knife skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day
  • Team player
  • Must have a go giver personality and willingness to help
  • Must have availability to work a combination of AM/PM weekday and weekend shifts and some hoildays

At Jianna, house made pastas are created daily. Not only linguine or fettucine, but hand rolled pastas and uniquely shaped, extruded noodles such as Casarecce or Tonarelli. Italian favorites like Burratta, Char-Grilled Octopus, Potato Gnocchi, Italian cheeses, Spaghetti and unique preparations of fresh seafood fill the menu. The restaurant's extraordinary 40-foot signature bar invites guests to take a seat indoors or outdoors, and to enjoy freshly shucked oysters or indulge in the sliced to order Prosciutto di Parma. Jianna's mixologists are always ready to present a variety of interesting handcrafted cocktails, vibrant and crisp Proseccos, and a wine list that embraces the flavors of both Italy and the United States.


It all began in 1997, with the opening of the now Greenville dining staple, Soby's New South Cuisine. Table 301 is now Soby's, The Lazy Goat, NOSE DIVE, Passerelle Bistro, Southern Pressed Juicery, Highway 301 Food Truck, Jianna and Table 301 Catering & Kitchen.
