Job description

We are seeking a PA to join our team! We are an Orthopedic Spine Surgery practice currently performing surgeries at Advent Health Ocala and The Villages Regional Hospital. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and first assisting of Orthopedic Spine patients in a clinic and hospital setting. Seeking full-time with no vaccine requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Administer care to Orthopedic Spine patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about spine issues and plan of care
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Surgical assist in Operating Room at TVRH and AdventHealth Ocala
• Rounding/call duties for the practice

Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Completed an accredited program for PA (eligible for certification)
• Ability to utilize Electronic Medical Records to chart patient progress and plan of care (Athena)
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
