JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the correct handling, packaging and labeling of items in individual packages or kits, following specific instructions and standard procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows approved Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with Brasseler Quality Manual

· Inserts product into packaging containers, special arrangements, or kits (25%)

· Operates label printer as needed (5%)

· Attaches labels to products (15%)

· Inspects items for correctness before labeling (10%)

· Wraps protective material around product including operating shrink wrap equipment (20%)

· Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process (20%)

· Completes all necessary paperwork prior to and after the completion of a work order. (5%)

· Keep work area clean.

· Other tasks as assigned by Manager

WORK EXPERIENCE:

· Previous experience in a relevant position desired

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

· High School degree or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

· Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions

· Basic mechanical skills desired

· Basic math and logic skills required

· Basic computer skills and software use (email, document prep, and spreadsheets) desired

TRAVEL / WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Travel – typically not required

· Position typically works on site where environmental conditions are stable. May be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a packaging environment.

· The position requires an above average amount of physical activity. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch, climb stairs and may be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
