Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, responsible for cleaning and inspecting aluminum/steel enclosures and sub-assemblies. Act as a quality control inspector for all enclosures to ensure that they are free of debris, blemishes, and imperfections before they are powder painted and staged of assembly.

Essential Functions:
- Serve as quality control: cut, clean, prep, inspect, and identify imperfections and defects prior to initiating the paint process
- Determine the appropriate PPE to protect self and others from possible hazards
- Use hands to operate tools essential to the job: grinders, sanders, table saw, and handheld polishing machine
- Assist with loading, unloading the paint line conveyor system with enclosures and sub-assemblies, then assist in, the palletizing of finished jobs as required
- Assist in maintaining tools and equipment
- Identify, protect, and take safety precautions against fumes or airborne particles
- Trouble shoot issues that arise with the powder paint guns, bake or dry-off oven, and the conveyor line system
- Paint metal enclosures and sub-assemblies according to product specifications
- Check painted enclosures and sub-assemblies for blemishes prior to completing the powder coating process
- Operate and maintain the paint booth and bake oven using standard operating procedures
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work with various personalities while maintaining cooperative working relationships
- Responsible for maintaining safe work practices within the department
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with using heavy machinery and/ or tools to complete assigned duties
- 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing/ production field
Knowledge:
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Knowledge of working properties of metals and fabricating process, such as warping, bending, and squareness
- Knowledge of basic unit of measures and the ability to read a tape measure
