Stark County Ambulance Service is Seeking Paramedics/Critical Care Paramedics to join our team! We are seeking Paramedics and Critical Care Paramedics to work in our Central Region which covers the majority of Stark County and parts of Eastern Henry, Western Marshall, and Southern Bureau Counties (Stations in Galva/Toulon/Wyoming/Bradford) providing 9-1-1 and interfacility ambulance services. We are a progressive company that strives to create a work/life balance in a demanding career field. To accomplish this our schedule is based around 2 static 24 hour shifts per week. This means that you only work 2 days a week and they are the same 2 days each week (Never back-to-back). Another aspect to the schedule that sets us apart from our competition is that we do not have any forced overtime. While there are opportunities for overtime, we respect your life outside of work and you will never be forced to work any time outside of your normally scheduled shifts.
Salary: Starting pay is $47,320/yr, but commensurate with experience and Critical Care Certification.

Working Conditions:
- Staged at stations in Gavla, Wyoming, or Bradford
- All stations have sleeping quarters, showers, full living room, and kitchen facilities.
- All ambulances are equipped with Stryker Power Cots and PowerLoad system.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to both 9-1-1 and interfacility calls
- Provide compassionate emergency care to the Advanced Life Support level within the parameters of the UnityPoint Health Trinity EMS systems Standing Medical Orders.
- Share driving and patient care responsibilities as applicable. Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
- Transport patients in accordance with system protocols and company policies and procedures
- Document patient care utilizing company ePCR platform
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
- Perform station details as assigned by the Regional Operations Director.
- Adhere to the guidance provided in the company handbook and all other policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by the company.
- Attend continuing education monthly.
Competency Requirements:
- Central Region team members must obtain and maintain an Illinois State Paramedic License along with AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Must obtain entry into the UnityPoint Health Trinity EMS system.
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
- Work without any documented physical restrictions.
- Ability to perform heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, pushing, and raising objects which will involve lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds on a regular and recurring basis and between 100 pounds on an infrequent and emergent basis.
