*Position Summary:*

• Performs direct patient care duties under the direction of and as assigned by a Registered Nurse. Also performs administrative, clerical and clinical duties as assigned. Demonstrates age-specific competencies in the care of neonates, infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, school aged, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Complies with the policies and procedures of The Harnett Health System. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.*
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Minimum one-year experience as a paramedic.*
• Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:*

• High School or GED equivalent
• Certified by the state of North Carolina as an EMT-Paramedic
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum education required for current certification by the state of North Carolina as an EMT-Paramedic.
• Basic Arrhythmia EKG test within 90 days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days

Other Information:Visual and auditory acuity required. Able to articulate clearly and succinctly. Much standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.*
