ATTENTION DOG SITTERS: The Wet Nose Project is HIRING!
The Wet Nose Project—the dog care company with a conscience—currently seeks a trustworthy and RELIABLE part-time dog lover to spend overnight's in our client's homes with their pup while they are away! We are highly selective in who we invite to join our company, and our cause—Wet Nose donates $1 from every dog walk to rescue dogs trapped in kill shelters. So, not only will your walks save lives, you will also join a growth-oriented company with a very bright future.
ARE YOU RIGHT FOR WET NOSE?
We are looking for a responsible and reliable dog lover, to join our team on a part time basis as an in-home Dog Sitter. This means that you would stay in a client's home during confirmed overnight dates, maintain their dog(s)'s usual routine, and occasional household requests.
Responsibilities:
- Feed, walk, play, (and love!) client's dog, maintain any medication routine, and stay overnight in client's home.
- Ensure the safety of our pups during your stay.
- Access client homes, and (de)activating clients’ alarm systems when you arrive/depart.
- Walk dog(s) in all weather conditions.
- Communicate with clients with updates and photos during your stay, and provide visit summaries and feedback when you depart.
- Take photos of the pups for social media, and for texting to clients.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle/transportation to designated job.
- Complete a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Registry check (CORI).
- Knowledge and life experience caring for dogs is essential.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Must own a smartphone for email, text, and take/send photos.
- Legal to work in the U.S
- RELIABILITY AND PUNCTUALITY IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST. References required.
Hourly rate is $40/hour.

The Wet Nose Project is a great business, but it's also a good business. Founded in 2016, Wet Nose donates $1 from every walk to rescue animals held in southern kill shelters. We have partnered with Cape Ann Animal Aid and contribute to their Safe Harbor Fund, which uses our donations to find, transport, and place these lovable pups in their forever homes here in MA. To date, we’ve helped rescue dozens of these pups, and as our business grows we will become more directly involved in this rescue effort.
