Job description

Nurse Practitioners (NP) wanted to work part-time in a personal injury medical practice to treat injured workers for the federal government to help process their workman's compensation claim.

The ideal candidate is an NP that has experience in evaluating musculoskeletal disorders such as the spine, muscle, and joint problems, and is able to complete charts within 24-48 hours. Orthopedic, workman's compensation, pain management, or personal injury background is a plus (but not necessary)!

Must be willing to travel to offices weekly to bimonthly. Location: Alexandria, VA

Will train each candidate on how to perform a worker's compensation exam after hiring.

We have immediate openings and are looking to hire as soon as possible.

No prescribing any controlled substances or medication!

Responsibilities and Duties

Must be available at least 20 hours a week to perform weekly in-office focused physical exams, and monthly telehealth follow-ups. The NP will document patient encounters with initial reports and updates, and refer patients to physical therapy, orthopedics/specialist, and/or radiology.

Patient load: ~10-40 patients per month

Must be able to complete charts within 24-48 hours, work independently with little-to-no supervision, be organized, have good writing skills, be motivated, and is a self-starter.

Flexible schedule - you make your own weekly schedule.

In-person (1 day per week) and Remote/Telehealth (1-2 days per week).

Qualifications and Skills

Must be licensed to practice in Virginia. Licensed in Maryland is a plus!
