Little Green Tree House in Evanston is an eco-conscious early childhood center located in the heart of Evanston. Our school serves children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years of age. We are seeking to fill a full-time teaching position working with children at age two. Full-time employees work anytime between the hours of operation 7am-6pm, Monday through Friday. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring teacher who is dedicated to fostering the growth of children. Our team is made up of passionate educators who understand child development and want to work in an earth-friendly environment that fosters personal growth. We are looking for strong organizational skills and the ability to lead a classroom while working with a co teaching team.

Requirements:

· Must have a completed Associate's Degree (or equivalent) with at least 6 credits related to early childhood coursework (Bachelors Degree Preferred)

· Candidates must have at least one year of experience working with the age group listed.

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Must be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday.

Full-Time: Monday through Friday

Job duties include, but not limited to:

· Providing a safe, warm environment where needs of the children are met and development is fostered.

· Implementing creative, theme based lesson plans.

· Parent communication via face-to-face, daily records, phone calls, and emails.

· Meeting & following requirements of Licensing agencies

· Prevents injuries and handles emergencies, accidents, and injuries appropriately when they occur.

· Professional interactions with children, parents and co-workers
