Description
The Partnership Manager will develop a portfolio of accounts to support internship placements of NYC CTE high school students. We are looking for someone who is a team player with a proven record of success in developing lasting relationships, a strong work ethic, and a passion for engaging with NYC youth. As such, Partnership Managers are expected to meet monthly individual and team goals. The Partnership Manager will be responsible for expanding employer engagement in industry sectors including but not limited to Automotive & Transportation, Construction & Engineering, Information Technology, and Hospitality & Tourism.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers to generate interest and create opportunities for CTE students that are English language learners
- Identify internship prospects through one-on-one meetings in-person and virtual and internet research; a high level of cold calling required
- Monitor prospect lists and customer Partnerships and assist with developing reports to ensure department goals are met
- Conduct employer orientation prior to the internship start to provide employers with an understanding of program expectations and requirements
- Collaborate with student-facing team to aid with student interview and orientation events
- Provide frequent updates to program staff on students’ progress, needs, during an internship
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary leadership team to ensure the integration of all program components
- Conduct periodic evaluations of programs to ensure program objectives are met
Qualifications
- Industry knowledge from having worked in automotive & transportation, business & finance, construction & engineering, health care, information technology and media & design fields.
- Experience engaging and reporting to multiple stakeholders, and working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated book of business whom you can immediately engage
- Event/project/volunteer management experience and working with youth is a plus.
- Ability to achieve goals with minimum supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to lead group presentations.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite knowledge.
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, initiative, commitment, and a sense of humor are a must!
- Bilingual- Spanish
- Bachelors Degree
