Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Provides clerical support and services to meet specific needs of a nursing unit. Participates in and coordinates telecommunications between nursing and all departments. Responsible for preparing, compiling and maintaining patients records. Assist mothers in completing birth certificate worksheet and paternity papers. Coordinates maintenance of office supplies and forms PAR levels and nurses station. Communicates effectively with all customers and assures accurate maintenance of a patients medical record.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Medical Terminology.
- General clerical and computer knowledge.
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a Unit Secretary in an acute care setting preferred.
- BLS preferred.
