Established healthcare company in Hilo, Hawai'i, seeking patient services coordinator to join our team. Under direct supervision, will perform a variety of scheduling, referral coordination, quality, and phone work. Primary responsibilities include answering phones, coordinating referrals, verifying insurance, inputting information into patient’s electronic medical record, collecting payments, and supporting clinical staff as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be flexible, able to follow written and verbal instructions, and type a minimum of 35 wpm. Prefer knowledge of clinical standards, practices and procedures and 2 or more years of experience in a healthcare setting; however, we are willing to train the right person. Minimum education is a high school diploma. Hourly full-time position of 35-40 hours per week with medical benefits and paid time-off. $14.00 starting pay depending upon experience and skills.
