Patient Service Assistant/Central Scheduler
Job description
JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that patients care received and delivered in a timely and efficient manner, and is appropriate to the correct care delivery setting vs. the severity of illness of the patient. Also, to identify, assess, and provide for possible post-discharge needs that may cause hospital mandatory over stays. Will work with various computer systems and contact patients for insurance needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Hospital/clinical experience. 1-2 years office, clerical, and customer service experience. Computer experience.
Working knowledge of approved criteria used for assessment/decision making.
Willingness and ability to teach others and help patients.
