The Payment Posting Specialist will be primarily responsible for posting patient and third-party payments and contractual. The specialist will be required to research patient accounts on the Business Office System (Epic) with an understanding of payment, allowance, write-off, and EDI (835) transactions. The incumbent will need to be able to interpret EOBs and R/As and comprehend the coordination of benefits.
This position requires excellent organization. Mathematical and analytical skills to ensure accurate, efficient revenue reporting for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. This position requires a candidate who demonstrates a positive demeanor and good verbal and written communication skills.
The incumbent should be professional in both appearance and approach. All Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Business Office staff is expected to
comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
- 2 years of business office experience.
- 1-year coordination of benefits and EOB/RA interpretations.Total 3 years experience.
- 10 key/data entry and analytical skills. Requires 7000 kph with an error rate of 1 to 5%.
- Basic CPT, ICD-9coding knowledge.
Preferences:
- Some college or technical school
- 3 years of business office experience
- Knowledge of business office patient accounting system (Epic).
- Knowledge of EDI (835) Transmissions.
