The Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate and timely processing of staff payroll on a bi-weekly basis, including post payroll reporting. Candidate will effectively communicate with staff and administrative teams by assisting with payroll inquiries and implementing standard policy and procedures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500 + employees.
- Process payroll changes including new hire information, rate increases, transfers and terminations.
- Review timekeeping records and automated system output reports for compliance with established standards and agency policies.
- Maintain deduction and garnishment information.
- Prepare vouchers and process electronic payments to third parties as related to payroll.
- Process Manual Checks.
- Assist in compiling information as needed for various auditing and reporting purposes.

1. Two year degree in Accounting or related field, or a combination of education and experience that is determined to be acceptable by the supervisor.
2. Three (3) years of automated payroll experience. Paylocity experience a plus!
3. Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Sound decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills.
