RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist in Saint Louis, Missouri (MO).

Responsibilities include:

• Answer question in the tickets systems regarding payroll and/or direct deposit
• Process weekly payroll (enter hours that are not entered, approved and check hours, reach out to managers, compare timesheets as to what is pulled into the time systems to make sure correct, mail out checks, direct deposit- help set them up and fix issues)
• Payroll Specialist works on some Bi-weekly task
• No pay- double check that its ok with their managers due to leave, time off, and/or didn't enter their time
• New hire taxes (50-150 new employees)
• Verify they uploaded a tax form and if not will need to go ahead and manually edit their taxes
• New hire and updating taxes
• Garnishments and/or cutting live checks
• Payroll Specialist will assist employees with direct deposit activation
• Assist employees with tax setup and changes to tax information
• Assist in all aspects of the new hire setup process including tracking and following up on new employment paperwork
• Payroll Specialist will handle general payroll questions in e-mail box
• Maintain confidential department records and office files in accordance with internal company procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Effective communicator
• Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
• Workday HR system, people soft is their payroll system that they would be working in
• Ability to communicate effectively and work under minimal direction once assigned a specific task
• Answering payroll info in the ticketing system, payroll related questions, termination process, and/or ensuring final pay
