The Role:

Ora's Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing US and international payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay. This role will collect and review employee information and working hours, calculate wages, preparing and processing employee payments and maintaining accurate payroll records for bi-weekly multi-state domestic payroll for 200+ employees, ensuring that new hires and terminations and compensation changes are handled correctly. This role is also responsible for processing monthly international payroll. A successful payroll specialist should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards in addition to strong people-skills and high numerical aptitude.

What You'll Do:

  • Processing of 2 biweekly multi-state domestic payroll for all Ora employees
  • Processing monthly international payroll for employees in UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and China.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies via information collection and analysis.
  • Upload payroll data to the Financial ERP system, NetSuite.
  • Familiarize yourself and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors.
  • Reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions.
  • Create and maintain employee's electronic profiles in NetSuite.
  • Manage the payroll-benefits by handling all payroll information questions and requests.
  • Run ad-hoc weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for various departments.
  • Maintain and update the 401K reconciliation on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Load and manage 401K data in Fidelity.
  • Manage the yearly 401K audit.
  • Complete special projects as needed for Finance and HR.
  • Responsibilities may differ slightly from the above based on specific needs of the business.

What We Look For:

  • Experience needed for the Role:
    • Bachelors' degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 2 years' experience with payroll. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
    • Experience with ADP Processing
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Additional Skills & Attributes:
    • Experience with Fidelity 401K and NetSuite is a plus.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
    • Experience processing multi-state payroll and handling third party systems.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality around personnel related issues, employee/payroll records, and company information.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, along with good interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
