Qualifications:

• Skilled SLP with at least 1-year recent Pediatric experience that includes Feeding in home health, acute care, or out-patient setting
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
• Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Texas Driver’s License with reliable transportation and proof of auto liability insurance
• Current CPR certification
• Team oriented
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats children with speech, language, articulation, non-verbal communication, phonologic, fluency, oral motor, feeding, and other disorders, as well as assessment of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs
• Documents, prepares and completes a Plan of Care, progress notes, orders and other clinical documentation to support and justify service delivery
• Provides effective communication and collaboration with patient/family, team members, leadership, and other health care professionals
• Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients
• Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities
• Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board
• Promotes Agency mission and administrative policies
