Community Home Health Care is looking for a qualified, NYS RN to conduct PCA trainings and orientations for home care applicants. These personal care aides will be employed to work as in home caregivers for our clients.

Trainings and orientations will occure in our Hempstead, NY office.

The schedule is made monthly. We are able to work with you when given ample notice. We require that you be available 7 consecutive business days per month and a few days a month for orientations or 2-day test outs.

What we are looking for in our Per Diem RN PCA Trainers:

• Strong people skills
• Attention to detail
• 2 years experience as RN
• Bilingual, Spanish-preferred

The following is required:

• Valid NYS RN license
• 1 year of home care experience
• 1 year of educating experience
• Willing to travel to Westchester for 2 days of training.

Per Diem RN PCA Trainer Responsibilities:

• Conduct PCA training classes, curriculum provided.
• Ensure every student has valid IDs and that they are one in the same.
• Assist with pre-employment paperwork during orientations.
• Orient and train home care applicants on company policy & procedure based on the script provided.
• Demonstrate the required PCA skills and ensure that all applicants are well-versed.

Training: Full training is provided by your direct supervisor and you will be able to shadow another RN in the same position.
