PERFORMANCE SUPERVISOR
The Performance Supervisor will foster and support an inclusive and high-performance operation where team member and customer safety is at the forefront. This role monitors and assesses the operation, performance and balances workload. The Performance Supervisor anticipates operational needs, challenges, and provides the team with information to ensure a successful operation. This role also collects operational information and translates it into various briefings and reports for team members, leadership, and customers. By demonstrating open and honest two-way communication the Performance Supervisor ensures a successful operation at the station.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and maintain a culture of safety at all times
- Establish and maintain a culture that encourages communication, and where all team members feel valued, connected, and engaged in the success of the operation
- Responsible for monitoring all elements of the operation, looking two (2) hours ahead at all times
- Prepare Supervisors, Managers, Leads, and various ramp and fleet team members with information to ensure a successful operation
- Partner with other Supervisors to balance ramp and fleet coverage as needed
- Act as liaison between McGee Air Services and Alaska Airlines (AS) and/or other customers and represent McGee in briefings with AS Operation/Managers On Duty (MODs) to plan for Irregular Operations (IROPs), tows, extra flights, and other special situations
- Investigate loads, specials, transfers, significant weather, and provide this information to team members for briefings and advanced planning
- Drive investigations and collect information on missed metrics and incidents
- Prepare and communicate various performance reports to team members and leadership, including shift reports, performance data, missed metric summaries/investigations, mitigation plans, safety incidents, equipment status, and staffing information
- Verify and support safety and equipment reports are completed within the shift and communicate with Leadership and effected team members
- Monitor staffing during start times and coordinate, support, and communicate re-balancing of Ramp and Fleet crews
- As needed, perform duties listed in Supervisor Job Description regarding leadership of the team and operation
- Lead a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to meet and exceed operational targets while maintaining service, timeline, and compliance requirements
- Recognize and celebrate individual and team performance
- Evaluate individual and teamwork performance and provide necessary feedback. Coach and counsel as needed and document discussions and improvement plans
- Lead briefings with a focus on planned changes, explaining reasons for changes, safety topics, performance, and recognition
- Monitor, assess, and report on below-wing and team performance daily; identify trends and drive ongoing improvement
- Responsible for ensuring that equipment is available, maintained, and operated in a safe manner at all times, to include daily inspections and removal from service

QUALIFICATIONS
- Six months of previous leadership experience required
- Two (2) years of airline experience with proven skills in station operations, including one of the following areas: passenger service, cargo handling, fleet service, and ground operations preferred
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to diffuse tense and/or stressful situations and workplace conflicts
- Experience coaching and counseling team members on performance-related issues preferred
- Skilled in all aspects of aircraft servicing, loading, baggage and cargo handling
- Self-motivated individual able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Able to lead, motivate, and successfully communicate with a diverse workgroup
- Proven ability to direct the work of others in a positive way
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen and fingerprinting
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
