Perioperative Nurse Educator

BronxCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Educator for Perioperative services which include eight operating room suites, 8- bay Ambulatory Surgical Unit and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

In this role, you will participate in the development, implementation, and provide education and reinforcement of nursing practice. The Nurse Educator identifies learning needs of nursing staff, in assigned clinical areas and throughout the Department of Nursing, to promote and maintain competency. In addition, this role plans educational activities that incorporate the nursing process, which are based on current evidence and support excellence in nursing practice.

Requirements

• New York State Registered Nurse License & Nurse Registration
• Masters Degree in Nursing
• BLS & ACLS from The American Heart Association
• Seasoned Registered Nurse with 5-10 years’ experience with knowledge of in Perioperative RN
• One year experience( at minimum), as a Nurse Educator
• Certification in relevant clinical area and Nursing Professional Development preferred
