Overview
Van Law Firm is seeking an experienced and motivated individual with exceptional negotiation, research, and leadership skills who will help to ensure that our firm’s pre-litigation department runs smoothly and efficiently. Case managers are a crucial part of our operations, as they combine two of our fundamental strengths, client service and communication. Our case managers stay in constant contact with our clients and collaborate daily with our attorneys and legal staff. Ideal candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced legal environment and a passion for assisting injury victims through this difficult and stressful time in their lives. This is an immediate hire for full-time position.__

Primary Responsibilities
- Management of a pre-litigation caseload of at least 100 cases.
- Active participation in intakes with prospective clients.
- Overseeing new case file set-up and maintaining files in the firm's case management software.
- Reviewing policies, claims, and other records to determine insurance coverage.
- Constant tracking of deadlines and outstanding weekly goals.
- Determining correct processes to ensure progression of cases.
- Regular communications with clients regarding case updates and required appointments (i.e., vehicle inspection, recorded statement, independent medical examination, etc.).
- Monitoring clients’ medical treatment status and following up for any additional treatments needed.
- Regular communications with adjusters and medical providers regarding client updates.
- Bi-weekly audit of cases and communicating with pre-litigation attorney for any issues and concerns.
- Drafting correspondence, notices, and demand letters.
- Assist pre-litigation attorney with settlement negotiations.
- Help to streamline the cases

Qualifications and Skills
- Previous case manager experience at a high-volume personal injury firm required
- Proven knowledge of legal processes and materials required
- Previous lead experience managing a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional disposition
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Team-player and proactive thinker
- Excellent computer skills and basic understanding of certain productivity computer software (i.e., Microsoft 365, Google Workplace, Slack, Filevine, Hubstaff, etc.)
- Eager to expand job knowledge by participating in development trainings, maintaining personal/social networks, and reading professional publications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a huge plus but not required
- Must be able to pass a background check and show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. and of COVID 19 Vaccination
