Job Descriptions:

This position requires a great amount of flexibility. The Groomer serves clients by greeting, welcoming, and taking directions for their animal's styling. The groomer must maintain a positive and professional relationship with the client; maintain a safe and clean grooming area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintain the continuity of the team by documenting all client communications, patient activities, and continuing needs by updating client records accurately. The groomer contributes to team effort by accomplishing daily duties.

Requirements for this position:

Must have a genuine love of animals; attention to detail; a positive attitude; the ability to take constructive criticism; be efficient; provide exceptional client service; ensure the security and safety of all pets under his/her care; follow directions with and without supervision; lift objects or pets at least 50lbs; have the ability to recognize certain behaviors in animals; the ability to ask questions when a task is unclear; the ability to show leadership; be self-motivated; have the ability to work with computers and basic office, grooming, and cleaning equipment. The groomer must have excellent telephone and verbal communication skills, exceptional listening skills, and a high degree of professionalism. Must be organized, have the ability to multi-task, be reliable and responsible.

Job Duties:

• Provides grooming services for pets in adherence with established policies and procedures to ensure safety and security of pets and clients.
• Maintains strong knowledge of grooming best practices, pricing and marketing strategies.
• Builds strong client relationships.
• Attends meetings as required for training.
• Minimum of 6 months job-specific experience required with ability to independently build client relations, coordinate and deliver grooming services.
