Summary

The Cell Pharmacology group in Department of Quantitative Biosciences is searching for a highly motivated Scientist with a background in immunology and oncology assays to join our company's Research Laboratories in Boston. The Pharmacology Translational Assays Scientist will develop and characterize novel in vitro and ex vivo translational pharmacology assays to support autoimmune and cancer projects. These new assays will capture features of human biology to improve preclinical translation to the clinic efficacy.

Key Responsibilities

Characterize and optimize in vitro and ex vivo assays at scale to support potential compound screening, biomarker identification and mechanism of action studies

Culture and characterize tumoroids of various cancer types in 3D setting to support translational studies

Evaluate the pharmacology of novel molecules, antibodies and other modalities for therapeutic potential in immunology and oncology

Maintain timely, accurate laboratory records of activities & comply with good documentation practices

Effectively collaborate with integrated teams in a matrix organizational setting to contribute to the conduct of studies and to the success of discovery programs

Education

B.S./B.A. degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or a related field with three years of experience; or a M.S. degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or a related field with one year of experience

Required

Principled and strong verbal and written communication

Preferred

Experience in the selection, optimization and characterization of effective immunology and oncology assays

Proficiency in cell culture, passaging and harvesting is required. Prior experience with co-culture systems, organoid or 3D cultures
