Overview:
The Physician Office Billing Liaison works directly with the physician enterprise central business office staff, corporate scheduling physician office liaison, and physician enterprise leadership and staff to resolve issues. This position assists with improving processes at practice locations to improve revenue cycle outcomes. This position researches, tracks, presents finding, provides education, and maintains ongoing monitoring of improvement of revenue cycle initiatives within practices. Under the direction of the Business Services Director and the Executive Director of Patient Financial Services, he/she will work closely with Corporate Marketing to update and maintain all revenue cycle information for ebaptisthhealth.org. This includes policy and regulatory updates.

The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree required; Bachelor’s degree or in school to complete related degree (public relations, healthcare administration, marketing, or business) preferred
  • One (1) year of relevant revenue cycle experience (patient access, financial assistance, insurance billing, patient and/or insurance collections, reimbursement, customer service, payer contracting, or coding). Experience in a physician office or CBO administrative role preferred.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate of the following: Power point, Excel, WORD, Specific applications to use PC applications to achieve work goal, Office applications: email, fax module, scan PDF, Patient collection process, Billing process, Coding , Medicare regulations, Scheduling Registration, Phone customer service , Face-to-face customer service, Interpreting insurance coverage and reimbursement, Insurance collections process, Healthcare financial regulations, Medical Terminology, Patient privacy, Coordination patient needs with various service levels, Written communication skills, Verbal communication skills, Work in a fast paced environment, Meeting deadlines, Organized, Time management, Conforming to standards, Managing projects, Manage large data volume, Audit Techniques, Measure and improve outcomes, Work well with other departments to achieve goal, Data entry, 10 key calculator, Works well within a team structure, Drive an auto, Navigate geographic directions, Public speaking - various groups/backgrounds, Development of training material, Conduct and research.
